BIKING CELEBRITY Charley Boorman has handed over a £30,000 custom-built motorcycle to a lucky competition winner at this year's NEC Motorcycle Show.

Surry biker Steve Alexander Steve accepted the keys to the one-off custom chopper from Long Way Round star Charlie Boorman at the Carole Nash International Motorcycle and Scooter show on Thursday (November 26th).

The Bobber was built live and against the clock by internationally renowned custom kings Hawg Haven at the 2008 bike show; Steve’s name was then picked from the prize draw ‘hat’ from among hundreds of thousands of entries from the last 12 months.

“I remembered seeing the bike being built at the NEC and then saw that all you needed do to try and win it was get a bike insurance quote from Carole Nash so I thought I’d have a go,” explained Steve who then decided to insure his Yamaha TM 850 with the company. “I’m absolutely over the moon to have won it. It’s a fantastic, unique and beautiful bike.”
